Experience
I am in my second year studying for a PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Leeds. In 2016 I graduated with a 2:1 Honours degree in Physics (also from UoL) and prior to this took A-levels in Physics, Maths, Biology & Geography. I have a great in-depth knowledge across Physics and Maths, and broad knowledge across all scientific disciplines. Studying Physics at degree level involves not only a large chunk of taught Maths modules but requires the ability to learn, understand and be able to apply these mathematical methods in appropriate situations in order to solve real physical problems. After graduating I began my PhD project where I am fully funded by a large multi-national Engineering firm. This has allowed me to continue my research and further develop my scientific and mathematical skills.

Hobbies
I have been privately tutoring for the last two years and have helped school children with Maths & Science GCSEs to mature students at degree level. Prior teaching experience both academically, volunteering at my old primary school & teaching roles as part of my PhD, and vocationally as a climbing instructor have allowed me to develop and refine teaching techniques for different subjects and students. I am happy to provide either consultation sessions for specific problems or can provide regular tutoring towards an exam. I can offer tutoring sessions after school (preferably) and at weekends if needed, either at my house or I am happy to travel to yours.
